Duties

This position typically provides dynamic vision and leadership for the Nursing Department.

  • Evaluate Nursing Instructors. 
  • Create an atmosphere of cohesiveness and collaboration among faculty.
  • Promote an environment that fosters excellence in didactic and clinical teaching and professional services.
  • Coordinate faculty activities that promote and achieve the educational objectives, academic standards, and accreditation of the Nursing Department.
  • Prepare course schedules, staff and program development, budget and personnel management, procurement of extramural resources, clinical affiliations and promotion of scholarships and excellence in nursing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

All CCC employees are required to adhere to CCC Customer Service Excellence standards.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Nursing or an equivalent combination of education and training is required.  Current state nursing license also required.
  • Three to five years of experience teaching Nursing or Health Sciences at accredited college or university.
  • Experience in working effectively with the public.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be self-directed and innovative, able to assess current operations in an effort to improve the future goals of the District.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
