Duties
This position typically provides dynamic vision and leadership for the Nursing Department.
- Evaluate Nursing Instructors.
- Create an atmosphere of cohesiveness and collaboration among faculty.
- Promote an environment that fosters excellence in didactic and clinical teaching and professional services.
- Coordinate faculty activities that promote and achieve the educational objectives, academic standards, and accreditation of the Nursing Department.
- Prepare course schedules, staff and program development, budget and personnel management, procurement of extramural resources, clinical affiliations and promotion of scholarships and excellence in nursing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Nursing or an equivalent combination of education and training is required. Current state nursing license also required.
- Three to five years of experience teaching Nursing or Health Sciences at accredited college or university.
- Experience in working effectively with the public.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be self-directed and innovative, able to assess current operations in an effort to improve the future goals of the District.
- Must be able to meet deadlines in a timely manner.
